Crossroads

You want to take the left, but it is a path less traversed, it is going to be a very long frustrating ride, everyone warns you but you still want to do it...coz... at the end of the road lies the thing you have always wanted in your life!
You see the majority of the crowd going straight and you want to go straight too coz basically you want to take the safer way out, by aping others. But deep down inside you very well know this path is NOT meant for you!
If you take the right, you will reach the destination quicker. You ask your inner soul...Is this what I truly want? And the answer is....NO!
You are frustrated, confused and desperate. You want to turn and go back to square one and start afresh... but you have already walked so far ahead, it is just too late now.

How many times do we face crossroads like these...when we are just left thinking, which path should we take? Which path would take us through the journey called LIFE and make it the most memorable journey of our lives???

Follow ur heart! And stand by it!

Dont do what everybody is telling you to do!

You are special!

And remember, its never too late to do what you always wanted to do- whatever that might be! Dont waste your life thinking some day, when I get time , I'll like to do my most favourite activity! The time is NOW, Life is Now!

Beautifully worded post. You have left me speechless. And yes - it encapsulates all the thousands of confusing questions which come to mind in one single question!

You've earned yourself a link from my blog's "Must-Read Posts of the Week"!

umm... maybe we have to take risks... if we want be different then we need to do things differently... yeah but at the same time there is the fear if things go wrong... you have rightly described this situation as a Confusion!
maybe a optimist would chose the shorter and adventurous path and the pessimist the safer path? but then the optimist would wonder whether she/he's being an over-optimist! a very debatable article!
your post has got me wondering about my decisions i have made :) nice one Di!

@Kiran: Thanks once again. Keeping fingers crossed ;-)!
@Melvin: I really admire the guys who have made decisions early on in their lives and have stuck to it all throughout coz unfortunately,I keep re-questioning my own decisions from time to time!
@CSP: I'm at the crossroads of life rite now. Hence this philosophical article ;-)

its not healthy to think about old decisions that went wrong.. we can nver forget them.. but we need to learn from them.
personally, any bad decisions i make i blame it on destiny/fortune and the good ones i take credit for...hehe.. it kinda helps ;)

and keep in mind , dis d only life we'd got , so everythin has 2 b our choice..

afterall repenting ur own decision later is hell lot better than repenting someone else's one ;-)

It was something i had been trying to put in words for some time... I believe I'm in one one of these phases and trying hard to find my way from here. Hope you do too!

Nice post!... I went through a similar phase recently and thankfully came out of it by simply following my gut feeling! Its as simple as that.. just back yourself to take the plunge!

With time you come to know life is full of such crossroads, smaller or bigger! What you (we) need to do is, zoom out a little, take a look at a little bigger picture, and think about the your bigger/long term goal. And then you can think which road to take this time. May be to reach the ultimate destination you need to choose the straight road this particular time, or even right! They are not wrong, if you keep ur ultimate destination in mind!
But if you think you are at the last crossraod in your life, then take left, FREE TURN! instead of waiting for someone else to give u way!
Nice thought..
And you may search 'sony world' or bangalore in my blog to read a similar post! I like crossroads! :)

@Bhavin: Thanks for your comment. You are right in saying that no road is the "wrong" road but with my past experiences, I have come to believe that in certain situations there is no "straight" road that takes you directly to the final destination. So you need to take the "indirect" route in order to reach there :-). I shall definitely read the posts you have mentioned. Thanks once again for reading my articles.
